Alan Koenigsberg MD, FAAP
Dr. Alan Koenigsberg joined Parsippany Pediatrics in 1985. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), and is a member of the New Jersey State Medical Society and the Morris County Medical Society. A native New Yorker, Dr. Koenigsberg was born and raised in Queens, earned his undergraduate degree from Union College in Schenectady, and received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn. He completed his pediatric residency training at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Dr. Koenigsberg has served as vice chairman of Pediatrics and is an attending physician at the Goryeb Children's Hospital at Morristown Medical Center. In addition to training medical students, he actively pursues his own continuing medical education. Dr Koenigsberg was named a "NJ Top Doctors" by Healthy Living magazine in 2015.
Married since 1979, Dr. Koenigsberg enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, son-in-law, and two grandchildren. His passion is music. An accomplished musician, he has been playing piano, vibraphone and percussion instruments since childhood. He also enjoys golf, biking, theater, and travel.
