Emily Keim, Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP)
Please welcome our newest Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner!! Emily is already known to many of our families as she has been working in our practice as a Registered Nurse since 2014 while studying for her advanced degree.
Emily received her undergraduate BSN degree from the University of Scranton and went on to complete her master's degree at Drexel University. Her graduate degree has a special focus of pediatric primary care. Emily is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner (CPNP) by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB). She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and enjoys keeping her practice up to date by reading journals and attending conferences. Prior to joining our practice as a registered nurse, Emily worked in the Pediatric ICU at Lehigh Valley Health Network.
Nurse practitioners are registered nurses with advanced degrees, including a four-year baccalaureate program and a master's program, a board certification, as well as a certificate from the state which licenses them to practice. As a CPNP, Emily has completed a Nurse Practitioner program in which she received extensive pediatric clinical and educational training and experience. Nurse practitioners do virtually everything doctors do: they can prescribe medications and vaccinations, treat illness and injury, and provide health maintenance exams. Nurse practitioners partner with doctors in providing care whenever needed.
Emily enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their black lab, Quinn. When she isn’t here in New Jersey, she enjoys traveling to her family farm in Virginia.
