As the son of its founding member and a former patient himself, Dr. Adam Handler is thrilled to be joining the practice he grew up in -- Advocare Parsippany Pediatrics.

Dr. Handler was born at Morristown Medical Center and was raised in Randolph. After graduating with a business degree from the University of Wisconsin in 2004, Dr. Handler decided to enroll in a post-baccalaureate, pre-medicine program at Rutgers University, which he completed in 2006. He then spent a year working alongside emergency medicine physicians at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City, where he gained valuable experience prior to medical school.

Dr. Handler graduated from New Jersey Medical School in 2011 and moved to New York, where he completed his pediatrics residency at Albert Einstein-Jacobi Medical Center in 2014. While at Jacobi, Dr. Handler enjoyed working with medical students and received the department's award for Excellence in Medical Student Teaching in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Since graduating his pediatric residency program, Dr Handler has achieved Board Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow if the American Academy of Pediatrics. In 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 Dr Handler was named a "NJ Top Doctor" by Healthy Living magzine.  In 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2023 he was also named "Favorite Kids Doc" by NJ Family Magazine.  Dr Handler has been selected by Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University to serve as a preceptor for medical students.

Dr. Handler's areas of interest include infectious disease and international medicine. He was grateful for the opportunity to treat children in Mozambique for two weeks during his final year of residency. In January of 2016, 2018, and 2019,  Dr Handler traveled to Haiti on a medical mission, "Hands Up for Haiti", which involved both direct care and educational programs designed to support the people of northern Haiti
