Dr. Jennifer Lam grew up in central New Jersey.  In 2002, she graduated Rutgers University summa cum laude as a Biology major.  She then attended New York University School of Medicine, where she earned her Medical Degree in 2006.  Dr. Lam moved back to New Jersey for her internship and residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.  Upon graduating from residency in 2009, she was awarded the position of Chief Resident at Robert Wood Johnson.  During this year, she was involved in many committees dedicated to improving safety, quality, and medical education.

In 2010, Dr. Lam started working for Goryeb Children's Hospital at Morristown Medical Center and Goryeb Children's Center at Overlook Medical Center as a pediatric hospitalist.  She took care of babies in the newborn nursery as well as acutely ill, complex pediatric inpatients at both medical centers.  She taught pediatric and family medicine residents and medical students through her involvement with the hospitals’ residency programs.

A business opportunity brought her family to Shanghai, China in 2014, where Dr. Lam joined Parkway Health, one of the largest healthcare providers in Asia.  In Shanghai, she worked in Parkway Health’s outpatient clinic, seeing patients that came from all over the world.

Dr. Lam is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

She lives in Morris County with her husband and two boys.  She loves to travel, explore different cultures, and sample new cuisines. She is excited to be a provider at Advocare Parsippany Pediatrics, whose doctors have been taking care of her own kids since they were born.
