Pediatrics

Dr. Katherine O’Keefe is a third-generation physician and board-certified pediatrician. She brings a passion for caring for the pediatric age span from infancy to young adulthood with a particular interest in working with teenagers.

Prior to medicine, Dr. O’Keefe earned her bachelor’s degree in linguistics at Boston College where she also served as captain of the women’s track and field team. She went on to obtain her medical degree at the University of Limerick, in Ireland before returning to New England for pediatrics training at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire. There she gained broad experience in pediatrics and an introduction to legislative advocacy at the state and national levels. Following this she worked as a fellow in pediatric endocrinology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA where she cared for children with diabetes as well as other endocrine conditions including growth and puberty.

Dr. O’Keefe is excited to join Advocare Parsippany Pediatrics. She brings with her an innate curiosity and she enjoys learning new things every day from both her patients and colleagues. She appreciates working with patients and colleagues with differing backgrounds and caring for children with diverse gender identities.
Outside of work, Dr. O’Keefe enjoys running (and walking) on the road, the track, and the many trails in the area. She can also often be found visiting a coffee shop or going out for pizza, two other favorite activities.
